The oak is protected by the local government, as a natural heritage object. It is the most popular oak in Anykščiai. On the way to Rubikiai there is a resting place and a campsite, where the narrow-gauge train stops full with tourists and they have a chance to take a photo and rest under the big Oak. The oak is 200 years old. The height is 24 metres and the volume in the height of 1.3 metres is 5,37 metres.
